The Portuguese Labour Party (PTP) calls for the resignation of Madeira's PSD deputies, citing their silence on mobility debates as detrimental to the island's interests.

The Portuguese Labour Party (PTP) has issued a strong demand for the immediate resignation of all Social Democratic Party (PSD) deputies elected from Madeira. This call comes amid accusations that these deputies have failed to adequately represent the interests of Madeirans during critical debates on mobility.

According to the PTP, the silence of these deputies during discussions on mobility has exposed a significant shortcoming in defending the needs and interests of the Madeiran population. The party argues that this silence indicates a lack of political and moral conditions necessary for the deputies to continue in their roles.

The PTP further accuses the PSD/Madeira of orchestrating a silence between regional and national party bodies. The Labour Party suggests that had there been no agreement to silence, the deputies would have spoken up or registered to speak during the parliamentary debate.
