Madeira GuideRenowned priest Padre Carlos Macedo will visit Madeira from February 2nd to 7th for a week of evangelization across the island's parishes.
Padre Carlos Macedo, a well-known figure among the residents of Madeira, is set to visit the island from February 2nd to 7th. His visit, which is a recurring annual event, involves a week-long series of evangelization activities across various parishes in Madeira.
This initiative is organized in collaboration with the Diocese of Funchal and local parishes, aiming to strengthen the spiritual bonds within the communities. Padre Macedo is particularly noted for his Marian approach to evangelization, which reflects in his spiritual leadership at annual pilgrimages to the Santuário de Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
During his visit, Padre Macedo will conduct several Masses and attend to the spiritual needs of the community through scheduled appointments. The activities will take place in churches across the island, ensuring the outreach extends to as many residents and visitors as possible.
In addition to his religious duties, Padre Macedo is the spiritual director of the Associação Católica Caminhos de Maria, which comprises numerous prayer groups across Portugal, including Madeira. His work emphasizes the central role of Jesus Christ in spiritual life, facilitated through devotion to the Virgin Mary.
