Today, the harbor of Funchal, Madeira, is teeming with activity as it welcomes more than 9,500 visitors arriving aboard three cruise ships and a tall ship. This influx marks a significant day for the local tourism industry, with the port brimming with travelers eager to explore the island.

The first vessel to arrive was the 'Mein Schiff Relax', docking at 6:00 AM after departing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The cruise ship, operated by TUI, carries 4,253 passengers and 1,436 crew members. It is scheduled to leave at 10:00 PM, heading towards Santa Cruz de La Palma, before continuing its seven-day journey through the Canary Islands and Madeira.

Following the 'Mein Schiff Relax', the 'Marella Voyager' arrived from Fuerteventura at 1:00 PM. With 1,965 passengers and 781 crew members, this ship is set to stay overnight, departing at 6:00 PM the next day towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is on the Cruise Atlantic Islands itinerary, which includes stops in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Madeira.

The 'Amera' and the 'Santa Maria Manuela' were already in port, having arrived the previous day. The 'Amera', with 653 passengers and 406 crew members, is embarking on a 27-day cruise from Bremen, Germany, to Panama, and will depart at 6:00 PM for St. Maarten. Meanwhile, the 'Santa Maria Manuela', with a small group of seven passengers and 16 crew, heads to Porto Santo at the same time.

These arrivals are a part of a festive season surge in tourism, with the 'Azura', 'Wind Star', and 'Le Laperouse' also expected to dock in the coming days, further boosting the local economy and providing a wealth of cultural and leisure activities for both residents and visitors.
