In a tragic accident at Lugar da Serra, Tabua, a man in his 30s or 40s lost three toes after slipping while mowing his lawn. The mishap occurred when he accidentally placed his foot under the mower. Emergency services, including the Volunteer Firefighters of Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol, quickly arrived on the scene and transported the injured man to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
Fall from Height at Largo da Fonte
Another serious incident involved a 63-year-old man who fell approximately 20 meters into a stream at Largo da Fonte, Monte. Allegedly intoxicated, the man sustained severe head injuries and multiple wounds.
