Car Collision in Funchal

In the late afternoon, a collision between two cars occurred on Rua Bela Santiago in Funchal. A 51-year-old man suffered cervical pain and was subsequently transported to the Hospital Dr Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.

Motorcycle Accidents on the Rise

Earlier in the day, a motorcycle accident took place at the exit of the Via Rápida near Câmara de Lobos, under the Ponte dos Frades. Two individuals were injured, including a 38-year-old man who sustained abrasions on his legs and arms.

Another motorcycle incident involved a 19-year-old who was injured in a collision with a car on Estrada Comandante Camacho de Freitas, in Fundoa. The young man experienced back pain and was immobilized before being transported to the hospital.

Sports Injuries at Francisco Franco Pavilion

Meanwhile, at the Francisco Franco Pavilion, two young athletes were injured during a sporting event. A 24-year-old foreign female athlete sustained an ankle trauma, and a 17-year-old foreign male athlete suffered a chest injury, leading to breathing difficulties. Both were attended to and taken to the Hospital Dr Nélio Mendonça.
