In Câmara de Lobos, a car accident resulted in a vehicle overturning after the driver lost control and collided with a stationary car on Estrada João Gonçalves Zarco. The driver managed to exit the vehicle unassisted but suffered minor injuries. He was transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.

Fatal Cardiac Arrest in Machico

Tragedy struck in Machico when a woman suffered a cardiac arrest on Rua Conselheiro José Ribeiro da Cunha. Despite the prompt response from the Municipal Firefighters of Machico and EMIR, resuscitation efforts failed, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tourist Injured in Levada do Norte

A 77-year-old English tourist endured a severe fall of 10 meters while hiking along the Levada do Norte, located in the Foro area of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos. Rescued by five firefighters, she sustained a deep head cut and injuries to her leg and cervical area. She was also taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça to receive medical attention.

Motorbike and Car Collision in Gaula

A separate incident occurred on the via rápida in Gaula, involving a collision between a motorcycle and a car, resulting in injuries to both a man and a woman. They were conscious when emergency services arrived and were subsequently transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for care.
