Miguel Nunes and co-driver João Paulo secure the lead at the Rali da Calheta, showcasing their skill in the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 with a remarkable performance under challenging conditions.

The Rali da Calheta, one of Madeira Island's most anticipated motorsport events, saw local champions Miguel Nunes and João Paulo take an early lead. Competing in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, the duo clinched victory in the first stage of the rally, demonstrating exceptional driving skills and teamwork.

The event, held in the picturesque village of Calheta, is renowned for its challenging course that tests the limits of rally drivers. Nunes and Paulo completed the 'special' stage with a total time of 3 minutes, 36 seconds, and 4 tenths, finishing 1.7 seconds ahead of their closest competitors, Alexandre Camacho and Pedro Calado, who were also driving a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2.
