Partnered with co-driver João Paulo, Nunes piloted their Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 to victory in the initial stage of the rally, held in the charming village of Calheta.

The duo completed the challenging course with a total time of 3 minutes, 36 seconds, and 4 tenths, edging out their closest competitors, Alexandre Camacho and Pedro Calado, by a margin of 1.7 seconds. This performance has set a high benchmark for the subsequent stages of the rally.

The Rali da Calheta is a celebrated event in Madeira's sporting calendar, attracting both local and international participants. Known for its scenic yet demanding routes, the rally offers a unique test of skill and endurance for drivers.
