The event will be held at the Mercado Municipal de Câmara de Lobos, where the grand assembly of the Bolo-Rei, a traditional Portuguese king cake, will take place. The official presentation is scheduled for 11 a.m., followed by the much-anticipated cutting and distribution of the cake to all attendees.
This year, the event is graced by the presence of Miguel Albuquerque, the President of the Regional Government, who will join Celso Bettencourt, the Mayor of Câmara de Lobos, in the cake distribution.
