A highlight of the festival is the debut of the Rosa Flor – Associação Cultural, Recreativa e Desportiva e Escola de Samba. This group, consisting of nearly a hundred participants, is joining the parade with a theme titled 'A Rosa da Autonomia: 50 Primaveras de Liberdade'. Their presentation is a symbolic journey through Madeira's history, celebrating five decades of regional autonomy with colorful and expressive cultural displays.
João Egídio Rodrigues, a celebrated figure in Madeira's floral arts, has the honor of opening the parade. Known for his pioneering work in public floral art, Egídio presents the opening float with the project '50 Anos em Flor', which draws inspiration from the rich floral traditions of the island. His contribution reflects the artistic and cultural evolution of Madeira over the years.
