The 'Casa + Eficiente' initiative in Madeira has approved 68 applications, with a total investment exceeding 500,000 euros, to support housing improvements for families with financial constraints.

The Government of Madeira has made significant strides in supporting local families through the 'Casa + Eficiente' program. Designed to assist economically disadvantaged households, the initiative has recently approved 68 applications for financial aid.

This program, managed by IHM – Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, is funded under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). It offers non-repayable financial support to improve and refurbish the homes of families in need, ensuring they have safe and comfortable living conditions.

As of today, the program has seen a total investment of over 500,000 euros. The latest batch of 21 approved applications represents an investment sum of 228,739.97 euros, marking a considerable commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Madeira's residents.

The initiative underscores the regional government's focus on social welfare and sustainable living, aligning with broader European objectives of resilience and modernity. By prioritizing the refurbishment of existing homes, the program not only aids families but also contributes to environmental sustainability through improved energy efficiency.

For Madeira's residents and potential investors, this program reflects a commitment to improving living standards while fostering economic recovery and sustainability. As the program continues, it is expected to benefit more families, promoting a higher quality of life across the island.
