Manuel Joaquim Vieira de Sousa, a respected resident of Rua Lombo dos Moinhos in Santa Cruz, passed away on January 24, 2026. A dedicated family man, Manuel was known for his kindness and community spirit. His funeral took place on January 24, with a mass held at the chapel of the Nossa Senhora das Angústias Cemetery in São Martinho, followed by cremation.
The family expressed gratitude to the medical staff at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça and Hospital dos Marmeleiros for their attentive care. A seventh-day mass will be conducted on January 31, 2026, at the Igreja Matriz de Santa Cruz.
