In Madeira, the Digital Mobile Key (CMD) offers a modern solution to bypass long queues at public services. This digital tool allows residents and tourists to renew identity cards, driving licenses, request certificates, or even open an online account with ease and speed.
How to Request the Digital Mobile Key
Currently, there are four methods to obtain the CMD, either online or in person. These include using the gov.pt mobile application, the AutenticaĆ§Ć£o.gov application for computers, the AutenticaĆ§Ć£o.gov portal, video call, or visiting a service desk in person.
