Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça Proposed as Longevity Center

The Juventude Popular (JP) of Madeira has put forward a proposal to transform the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça into a major center dedicated to supporting the aging population. The proposal envisions the hospital as a comprehensive longevity center with multiple services, ranging from an active aging center to a residential facility for the elderly and a continuous care unit. The CDS was the first political party to propose the construction of a new hospital in Madeira over 25 years ago, suggesting that the current Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça be repurposed.
