Emergency responders were forced to break into the residence to provide immediate medical assistance. Thanks to their swift action, the woman was stabilized and transported to the Hospital Dr Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.
Pet Rescue in São Gonçalo
In a separate rescue earlier that day, firefighters were called to São Gonçalo to assist a dog trapped in a local watercourse. The animal, unable to escape on its own, was safely retrieved by two firefighters and returned unharmed to its owner.
