Funeral Announcements in Madeira: Paying Tribute to Community Figures

The funeral services for Sidónio Feliciano Rodrigues Gonçalves, Domingos da Silva Fineza, and António Martinho Teixeira will be held on January 25th and 26th, 2026, marking a significant moment of remembrance for their families and friends.

Sidónio Feliciano Rodrigues Gonçalves, a beloved resident of Estrada da Candelária, Tabua, passed away on January 25th, 2026. His funeral will take place on January 26th, starting from Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça at 15:00, moving to the parish church of Santíssima Trindade, Tabua, with a mass at 16:00, followed by burial at the local cemetery. A seventh-day mass will be held on February 1st at 09:00 at the same church.

Domingos da Silva Fineza, originally from Ribeira Brava and residing at the Elderly Home in Câmara de Lobos, passed on January 24th, 2026. His funeral is scheduled for January 26th, beginning at 14:15 from Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, proceeding to the parish church of São Bento, Ribeira Brava, with a mass at 15:00, and continuing to the cemetery. A seventh-day mass will be observed on February 1st at 12:00 at São Bento Church.

The community also mourns the loss of António Martinho Teixeira, whose service will be held on January 25th. Departing from Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça at 13:00, the procession will move to the chapel of Nossa Senhora das Angústias cemetery, São Martinho, where a mass will take place at 14:00, followed by cremation.
