At approximately 2:26 PM, a 10-year-old boy fell down a staircase at a school in Funchal, sustaining injuries that left him complaining of back pain and numbness in his limbs. The quick response of the Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses ensured the child was promptly transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further evaluation and care.
Motorcyclist Accident on Estrada Monumental
Earlier that morning, at around 10:23 AM, a 68-year-old motorcyclist was involved in an accident on Estrada Monumental. The individual suffered injuries to his arm and a dislocation in his leg. The Bombeiros Sapadores do Funchal provided immediate assistance, transporting him to the same hospital for treatment.
Fatal Cardiac Arrest in Monte
In the early hours at 3:30 AM, emergency responders, including the EMIR and Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses, rushed to a home in Monte where a man in his 70s had suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite extensive resuscitation efforts, the man's life could not be saved. The PolĂcia de Segurança PĂşblica (PSP) was notified to handle the situation.
