A car fire in Livramento, Monte, was successfully extinguished by the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters early Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.

In the early hours of February 15, 2026, the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters were called to action to extinguish a car fire in the town of Livramento, located in the Monte area of Madeira Island. The emergency services received the alert around 4 a.m., prompting immediate mobilization.

A total of eight firefighters, supported by three vehicles, were dispatched to the scene to tackle the fire. The quick response and coordinated efforts by the firefighters ensured that the fire was contained and extinguished before it could spread to nearby areas.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the local authorities.

Livramento is a residential area in Monte, a parish known for its scenic views and proximity to the famous Monte Palace Tropical Garden. Incidents like these, although rare, highlight the efficiency and readiness of Madeira's emergency services.
