The Diocese of Funchal is organizing a week-long event focused on renewal and training sessions for clergy, laypersons, and consecrated individuals. The sessions will take place from January 20 to 23, focusing on the theme 'Parish: Renewal'.

The Diocese of Funchal is set to host a comprehensive week of training and renewal sessions aimed at clergy, laypersons, and consecrated individuals. This initiative seeks to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants by providing them with updated information and training.

Scheduled from January 20 to 23, the sessions for clergy will be held at the Diocesan Seminary in the mornings. Meanwhile, the training for laypersons and consecrated individuals will occur in the evenings from January 20 to 22, at the Externato da Apresentação de Maria. This venue was chosen as the Igreja do Colégio is currently undergoing renovations.

The central theme of these sessions is 'Parish: Renewal', focusing on how parishes can adapt and thrive in contemporary society. Participants will engage in discussions and activities designed to foster a deeper understanding of their roles within the church and community.

This event underscores the Diocese's commitment to continual growth and adaptation, ensuring that both clergy and laypersons are well-equipped to meet the challenges of modern-day religious life in Madeira.
