The weather system, Depression Pedro, named by Météo-France, is not expected to significantly affect Madeira or mainland Portugal. The depression is centered in northeastern France, influencing weather mainly in Western Europe.

The weather phenomenon known as Depression Pedro, named by Météo-France, is forecasted to have minimal impact on both mainland Portugal and the Madeira archipelago. According to the Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA), no significant weather disturbances are expected in these regions due to the system.

Scheduled to be centered in northeastern France by midday on February 19, Depression Pedro will have a pressure of 996 hPa. It is part of a larger depression zone situated west of the British Isles, which is associated with a cold front affecting weather conditions primarily in Western Europe.

For Madeira, this means that usual weather patterns will largely remain unchanged, a relief for both residents and tourists concerned about potential disruptions. The IPMA continues to monitor the situation closely to provide timely updates if there are any changes.
