The Chemistry Center of Madeira has opened applications for its 2026 Summer Internships, offering unique opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in scientific research.

The Chemistry Center of Madeira (CQM) is once again welcoming applications for its popular Summer Internship program, set to take place in 2026. Designed for students in the second and third years of their undergraduate studies, as well as those holding diplomas from the first or second cycles, this program offers a valuable opportunity for young scholars to engage with real-world scientific research.

These internships are part of regional youth occupation programs during the academic break, providing students with practical exposure to the fields of Materials and Natural Products, which are the two primary scientific areas of focus at the CQM.

Prospective interns are encouraged to submit their expressions of interest via the online form available at the CQM's official website. This initiative not only fosters academic growth but also provides a first-hand look at the innovative research being conducted in Madeira, a region known for its vibrant scientific community and commitment to education.

Madeira, an autonomous region of Portugal, is celebrated for its stunning landscapes and vibrant culture. The CQM's dedication to advancing scientific knowledge adds another dimension to the island's appeal, attracting students and researchers from across the globe.

The Summer Internship program is a gateway for students to develop their research skills and gain insights into potential career paths in science and technology. Participants will work closely with experienced researchers, contributing to ongoing projects and potentially making impactful discoveries.
