The Adventist Home in São Roque, Madeira, is set for expansion as part of a strategic initiative by the Regional Delegation of Adventist Social Assistance. The project aims to enhance the facility's resources and improve services for its residents and staff.
The announcement was made during a visit by Paula Margarido, the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Work, and Youth, along with Nivalda Gonçalves, President of the Madeira Social Security Institute. The officials toured the facility to assess its current operations and discuss future enhancements.
The facility, known as a Lar, is a private social solidarity institution (IPSS) providing essential support and protection for the elderly in the community. The planned expansion will enable the Lar to accommodate more residents and offer better amenities and care.
Such expansions are crucial for Madeira, a region that is increasingly focusing on improving its social infrastructure to better serve its aging population. The initiative is not only expected to benefit the residents but also enhance working conditions for the staff, contributing to a more efficient operation overall.
The expansion project reflects Madeira's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents, particularly the elderly, which aligns with broader efforts to ensure inclusive and supportive community services.
